The Frantoio masseria  is the heart of the property where Rosalba Ciannamea and her husband Armando Balestrazzi live, they accomodate the hosts with all their kindness and their knowledge.
The white farmhouse is located in the countryside of Ostuni, only a few minutes drive from the sea. It is in the heart of Puglia, a southern region of Italy known for its mild and welcoming climate all year round. The eight guest rooms available are situated in the nineteenth century wing of the farmhouse and are furnished with antique pieces. In the kitchen the hosts try their very best to introduce you to high quality produce of this generous land.
Among the most interesting news: the beautiful San Domenico golf course, just 15 km far from Frantoio and the opportunity to rent boats with skipper to discover our sea wonders.
Besides offering Bed and Breakfast it also run a farm and, since they are surrounded by secular olive trees, they produce with the most natural and organic methods some of the best quality guaranteed (DOP) extra virgin olive oils from mono cultivation. Following the instuctions of very old recipes they have also attempted to produce a quite unique type of extraordinary liqueur; olive Rosolio. An important part of the farm is dedicated to organic cultivation especially olives, which is entrusted by Silvio who is responsible for the organic production of oil from our secular olive trees.

The Farmhouse is the heart of the property. The owners have their living quarters here and all guest rooms are located here. The new generation of host farms is here represented: not more than 8 guest rooms all situated in this part of the building constructed in the nineteenth century and furnished in the style of a Charm Hotel. The gardens are well kept and life here is dedicated to complete relaxation. Using the fresh products obtained here on the farm our cuisine is both surprising and satisfactory.
On the cave, which since time immemorial has been used for the pressing of the olives, the other parts of the buildings were added throughout the centuries. The oldest part of the building goes back to the XVII century. The Farmhouse "Il Frantoio" was once the property of the noble family Tanzarella, and is the nucleus of a property of 72 hectares that produces extravirgin olive oil DOP Collina di Brindisi - Hill of Brindisi and monocultivar Olivarola Salentina and high quality Leccina. Some parts of the farmland are exclusively dedicated to the organic cultivation of the noble secular olive trees typical of the countryside around Ostuni.
A drive lined with pine trees takes you to the inner courtyard where it is pleasant to stop and rest or where you can have a candle-light dinner in the open air on summer evenings.
Looking onto the courtyard there is a romantic Italian style garden with a peacock cage, a sunny citrus fruit garden with lemon, orange, mandarin and citron trees. The orchard is at the back of the dining-room; it teems with aromatic herbs, all strictly cultivated in the most traditional manner. The guests can make use of a common kitchen, sitting rooms, a reading room and a restaurant which is open only on booking, even to outside guests. The Farmhouse is also equipped with stables and a big riding school, which has a panoramic view on the sea and the surrounding hills.

At "Frantoio" you will find relaxation and an exquisite cuisine. After breakfast you have an ample choice of things to do: take a stroll in the countryside, visit the neighbourhood around Masseria, go to the riding school or to the beach which is only ten minutes away by car.

Lilies of the Valley, Violets, Narcissus, Citrus Fruit Garden, Lilies, Wistaria, Daisy and the Room of the Newlyweds are the "flowery" names of the eight guest rooms. The rooms are cool in summer and warm in winter, and are all different from one another; they have original flooring and comfortable wooden or iron bedsteads. The rooms, high vaulted with luminous windows and big comfortable bathrooms are all arrayed with great charm and furnished with antiques, all property of the house.
One apartment which can accommodate 5 people is also for location.
