This area neighbour of France offers to the visitors a great diversity of landscapes and many richness (artistic, cultural, culinary and others).
The Piedmont area includes a part of the alpine range (enjoys an exceptional ski slopes with 2000 km of tracks, and in summer some natural reserves such as "Gran Paradiso"), then softens until the Maggiore and Orta Lakes (surrounded of luxury hotels, of prestigious golf, but also of small typical villages).
It is also the landscapes covered of hills of vineyards with the famous names (such as Barolo) of antiques castles, of rice plantations (towards Novara, Vercelli), of forests where the truffles hide (like the very famous white truffle of Alba), mushrooms, and game of all kinds.
All this products are found in the Piedmont kitchen such as also the rice and cheese (Gorgonzola and Castelmagno) which are the basic ingredients. "Turin, capital of the area offers an ignored face made of Roman ways, baroques churches, historical coffee shop, places impregnated of culture..
In its surroundings the Rivoli Castle, the Palaces of Venaria, Stupinigi, Racconigi are only the few examples of a glorious past" (cf Pressvoyages).
Turin shelters also the Museo Egizio (Egyptian), the most important collection of the world after the one of Cairo, illustrating the history of the ancient Egypt age; and the Galleria Sabauda, one of the most important art galleries of Italy, contains works of the Italian and Flemish schools (Fra Angelico, Giovanni Bellini, Guercin, Tintoretto, Van Eyck, Memling, Rembrandt, Jan Brueghel, etc...).
